Your application video

Are you ready to show us your skills in front of the camera?

In your very first video pitch, you show us how well you perform in front of the camera. It’s all about you, your personality and your charisma. The more authentic your video, the more companies will want to work with you! Give them a reason why they should choose you? If your video doesn’t meet the requirements, you will receive feedback from our team and the chance to reapply. Here are a few tips and tricks to make your first video perfect:

Show us how well you can promote a product!

Pick a product you love and show us how you would promote it. Be yourself and be authentic, that’s what matters!

Video length

Pay attention to the time! Your introduction video must be between 12 and 30 seconds long and should never exceed this limit. Since companies will use your videos for advertising, sticking to the time requirement is crucial.

Screen format

Shoot your first video in 9:16 video format. Don’t know how? In most cases, this corresponds to the portrait format of your mobile phone camera. Or use a video editing tool such as the ‘InShot’ app to edit the aspect ratio of your video.

Exposure

For your video, it’s best to use natural light. Make sure your filming location is well lit and the background remains neutral. Nothing should distract from you or the product or company you are presenting.

Self-positioning

Keep enough distance from the camera and make sure that you leave enough space both above and around your face.

Camera/mobile phone positioning

Use either a tripod, your hands or other household objects to position your camera at eye level and keep it stable – nobody likes shaky videos.

No filters

Do not add any text, filters or music to the video.

Visibility

Always make sure that the brand/product packaging is clearly legible.

Pro tip: If the branding appears mirrored, simply flip the video and it will look correct.

Motivation

Always be in a good mood during the video shoot and show us your energy! Maintain eye contact and avoid looking away from the camera. Self-confidence is the be-all and end-all!
